Ever since 2011 with the release of The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, Bethesda Game Studios has yet to unveil its newest game to follow The Elder Scrolls trilogy, after years of waiting Elder Scrolls fans, such as myself, now have the answer they crave. In the E3 convention of 2018 the trailer and release date for The Elder Scrolls VI were finally revealed by Bethesda. However, the downside of this is that the game will not be released until 2021 seeing the land Tamriel is not Bethesda’s biggest priority, but I most certainly will not mind the wait as I know it will be worth it.

Sadly during the 2019 E3 convention the game was not mentioned seeing as they were more focused on their other game Starfield, but with the year it is expected to be released,(2021) the trailer for the game, and with Bethesda’s attempt to trademark the name Redfall, Elder Scrolls fans have already theorized what the game’s plot will be and where it takes place in the Elder Scrolls universe. Some brief history of The Elder Scrolls timeline and some events before I give my opinion on what I theorize the game to be like.

To begin with where the game will be located within Tamriel? Well I believe that the game will take place in Hammerfell and that the main conflict within the story would be about a potential second war between the Aldmeri Dominion(nations of Summerset Isle, Valenward, and Elsweyr) and the nation of Hammerfell. At the end of the Great War between the Empire of Cyrodiil and the Aldmeri Dominion with the treaty of the White Gold Concordat signed to end the war sadly end the treaty all of southern Hammerfell was given to the Dominion. However, Hammerfell did not agree to the White Gold Concordat therefore leaving the empire and going to war with the Aldmeri Dominion which would turn into a 5 year long conflict with the devastation of southern Hammerfell. After the Dominion were fought to a standstill the Treaty of Stros M’kai was signed with the Aldmeri Dominion withdrawing from Hammerfell. However, one of the leaders of the Alik’r mercenaries, Keumatu, in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim stated that they were hunting down traitors of Hammerfell in a quest called, “In my time of Need” and also stated that,” The resistance against the Aldmeri Dominion is alive and well,” giving information that Hammerfell still has conflict with the Dominion even after the war.

This conflict between the Aldmeri Dominion  and Hammerfell is what I believe the next plot in the Elder Scrolls will be. Hammerfell has left the Empire thus has no protection guaranteed and with the Aldmeri Dominion, which are recovering from the massive losses of the Great War against the Empire, why would the Dominion pass up the opportunity to reclaim territory they gave emperor Titus II in their ultimatum?
