On Friday, Prairie Grove played Claremore, Oklahoma in a non conference exhibition game. The game started off kinda slow with the score 0-0 after the first inning. In the second inning, the Zebras scored 2 runs on 2 hits. We were a little bit slow with scoring but we ended up scoring 2, tying the game in the third inning. The game was tied until the 6th inning where Claremore scored 1 run to get the lead. The Tigers came up short, not being able to score a run in the 7th inning, losing the game 3-2.

Last night we played Gravette and it was a really good game. We started off pitching Garrett Heltemes, who did a good job of throwing strikes. Gravette scored 3 runs in the first inning off of 4 hits. We didn’t score any in the first inning, but in the second inning we allowed 0 runs and scored 2, making the score 3-2 in the second inning. We then put in Jadin Higgins to pitch, who put up 6 scoreless innings, but had to come out of the game because of the pitch count rule. The score was notched at 3-2 until the 4th inning where we scored 1 more to tie the game. At the end of the 7th the score was still tied so we went into extra innings. We scored 1 run in the top of the 8th and then went out to finish the game. We got two quick outs, but then Gravette got two runners on second and third. We put in Kaine Caswell to pitch the last out of the game, but the batter for Gravette pulled a groundball down the third base line scoring the two winning runs. We lost 5-4 in the 8th inning to the lions. All in all, the game could’ve gone either way with either team winning, but this time it was Gravette.

On Thursday, the Tigers take on rival Farmington Cardinals in a conference game. The Cardinals are 3-4 in conference play, while the Tigers are 1-6. This game could go either way, but most likely the Tigers will win. Despite having a terrible conference record, we play a lot better than it looks. We have one bad inning that loses us the game. If we play to our capability we can beat anyone in the state, but it is very unlikely that everyone will play perfect. It is Farmingtons senior night, so hopefully we can upset them and ruin their big day, because who likes Farmington? All in all, it should be a very good game but I’m gonna take the tigers winning 5-3.

On Friday, the Tigers play Lincoln in a non conference game at home. This is Prairie Groves senior night, and its lincoln, so it should be an easy win. This game will be a blow out for a fact so if you like high scoring games, this is the one to come to.
