Over the past weekend we’ve learned that LA Lakers point guard, Lonzo Ball, has ended any and all relationships with co-founder Alan Foster. Supposedly the lifetime friend stole over 1.5 million dollars of Lonzo’s money, which doesn’t come to a shock due to the fact that earlier in Alan’s life, he had to serve 7 years in prison for fraud.  “[Foster has] used his access to my business and personal finances to enrich himself,” Lonzo Ball told ESPN. Lonzo also showed that he was cutting ties with not only Alan but also Big Baller Brand as a whole. In his latest Instagram post, Lonzo posts a picture of himself in a Nike Lakers jersey with the caption being, “bigger and better”. Lonzo unfollowed the Big Baller Brand Instagram account, and deleted all of his photos that either contained the BBB logo or Alan Foster. Lonzo later got his BBB tattoo covered up making it seem official that he is completely done with the Big Baller Brand.

Lonzo owns over 50 percent of the company, while his father, Lavar Ball, only owns around 16.4 percent. With this it seems that Lonzo is going to end the company and Lavar has no say in it. However, it seems that Lavar isn’t too upset about it.  “I’ve always believed in the best in people. Regretfully, I put my complete trust in Alan Foster to manage my son’s business affairs,” Lavar told ESPN in a statement. “At the end of the day, family comes first, and I support Zo wholeheartedly. Together, we will make this right.”

If Lonzo is really done with the Big Baller Brand, then this means he’s a free agent in the sneaker world. NBA super star and teammate of Lonzo, LeBron “King” James, seems to imply that he wants Lonzo to join up with him at Nike. Telling sources that he “would welcome” Lonzo to Nike if he leaves BBB, and showing love to Zo saying that he’s proud that he’s taking care of business. The Ball family has been in and out of the news media with lots of drama, which has grabbed worldwide attention and love. But is this the end of the road for the BBB company?
