Last week, several political figures of the Democratic party were sent mysterious packages containing pipe bombs. These bombs were sent by a 56-year-old Trump supporter named Cesar Sayoc. According to CNN, he sent 14 bombs to Democrats including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and many other representatives and senators.

None of the packages were opened by their intended recipients, and there were no injuries. In fact, the packages didn’t pass post office clearance because unsafe materials were detected inside. As CNN said, “the authorities [intercepted] the 14 packages.” Fingerprints were found on one of the packages and the police had already been keeping an eye on Sayoc for some time. He was an avid Trump supporter and wrote suspicious material on Twitter. After connecting several dots that Sayoc mistakenly dropped, the police finally caught the bad guy.

NBC News reported that Sayoc was found in a nightclub, “spinning classics” as a hired DJ. Sayoc had been living in what appears to be a Trump mobile. It was a large white van with Trump pictures all over its windows. His van home was on a beach in Florida, and he used the beach’s resources (showers, restaurants, etc.) daily. According to NBC News, he used to be a bodybuilder and a stripper.

He will be taken to court on Monday, October 29 at 2pm. Many reports say that he could serve up to 58 years of prison time. According to The New York Post, he could be charged with five federal crimes, including “interstate transportation of an explosive, illegal mailing of explosives, threats against former Presidents and other persons, threatening interstate communications, and assaulting current and former federal officers.”
